Mr Alex Yu
Alex Yu has over 26 years of experience and exposure in the field of telecommunication and network infrastructure. He is currently the Assistant General Manager of regional IT, Commonwealth Bank of Australia Internationl Financial Services North Asia. His overall responsibilty include IT infrastructure, system architecture, IT strategy, core banking system and project management.
Prior to Commonwealth Bank, he is the Regional Director of IT - (network infrastructure) of Prudential Corporation Asia (member of the Prudential Group in UK). His overall responsibilities include the development and management of technology infrastructure as well as network security across the Asia region covering 11 countries and 16 business units.
Before joining Prudential in 1999, Alex was the Asia Telecommunication Manager of Chase Manhattan Bank for 9 years. He was responsible for managing the telecommunication budget, PABX facilities and the extensive data network with the Asia region.
Alex's interest is the development of network infrastructure services and network security to meet corporate needs, especially the fast evolving Internet infrastructure, wireless network and public key infrastructure.
